Fees
We seek to provide clarity and certainty of fees, prior to all procedures. The exceptions to this could be emergency surgery, where an unexpected operation has occurred.
All operations have an anaesthetic out of pocket cost. This is separate to your surgeon and hospital costs, and is not covered by health insurance. Fees are dependent on the type of surgery and the type of private health insurance a patient has. Different health funds reimburse different rates for the same procedure, resulting in varying out of pocket expenses for patients. |
Out of pocket expenses are listed on the AGB Informed Financial Consent documentation you will have received from your surgeon or from us directly. If your procedure is not listed, you are unsure of the name of your procedure or you have any questions about how much your Anaesthetic fee will be, please contact us on (03) 5331 4888.
For more detailed information on anaesthetic fees, please refer to the information provided by the Australian Society of Anaesthetists. |
